The serial number is ??003159?? which dates it from 1979-1981. The body is in very good condition overall, but has some small dings, scratches and scuffs. Nothing out of the ordinary for a vintage guitar and there are no cracks or structural issues

Northwest Vintage Guitars presents a 1978 Yamaha Studio Lord Model SL500S with a Mahogany body and a maple cap. These are well regarded Les Pauls that many considered to be on par with what was coming out of the USA during that time. the Yamaha SII PAF pickups read 9 10k ohms at the neck and 7 00k at the bridge and deliver tons of PAF tone. Plays beautifully. Has some missing covers on some of the tuning machine heads. The bridge pickup is slightly microphonic but everything still sounds great. The guitar is stock with buckle rash on the back and various dings and scratches.
